Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (3-13) were defeated at home by third ranked Frayles de Guasave (9-7) 94-79 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-79. Frayles de Guasave dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Pioneros Los Mochis' 42. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Frayles de Guasave made 10 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Alonso Izaguirre (200-76) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 8 rebounds and American guard William Funn (188-82, college: Portland St.) who added 14 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 blocks during the contest.
