The most exciting game of round 29 in the LEB Silver took place in Mallorca. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-ranked Basquet Mallorca (20-7) to first ranked CB Clavijo (24-3) 106-103 in the game for the first place. Basquet Mallorca was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. CB Clavijo dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Basquet Mallorca's 28. 26 personal fouls committed by Basquet Mallorca helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Matt Witt (183-84, college: E.Kentucky) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points and 7 assists. Center David Mesa (200-80) contributed with 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Shaun Green (203-87, college: Utah, agency: Limelight Hoops) answered with 23 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Joan Carles Bivia (185-85) added 25 points in the effort for Basquet Mallorca. Four CB Clavijo and five Basquet Mallorca players scored in double figures. CB Clavijo have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 24-3 record. Basquet Mallorca at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. CB Clavijo are looking forward to face Feve Oviedo (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Basquet Mallorca will play against River Andorra (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
