Bottom-ranked Lan Mobel ISB managed to get a eighth victory, breaking the series of three consecutive loses on Friday night. This time newly promoted Lan Mobel ISB won against seventh-ranked ADT Tarragona in Azpeitia 91-81. The game was mostly controlled by Lan Mobel ISB. ADT Tarragona managed to win second period 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where ADT Tarragona used huge pressure winning it 25-19 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 3-13. Lan Mobel ISB dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to ADT Tarragona's 42. Guard Xavier Guirao (190-87) came up with 21 points and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and American power forward Edward Cage (203-78, college: Bradley) added 14 points respectively for ADT Tarragona in the defeat. ADT Tarragona's coach Mateo Rubio rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Lan Mobel ISB (8-19) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Illescas. Loser ADT Tarragona keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost. Lan Mobel ISB will meet higher ranked Promobys Tijola (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ADT Tarragona will play against Leyma Basquet in Coruna and hope to secure a win.
