Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Zadar: Zadar (#3) and Borik Puntamika (#6). Zadar (4-2) crushed visiting Borik Puntamika (1-4) by 32 points 77-45. The game without a history. Zadar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Borik Puntamika's 22. Zadar forced 21 Borik Puntamika turnovers. Swingman Marko Car (188-85) nailed 18 points and 6 assists for the winning side and American forward Brandon Brown (202-81, college: Tulane) accounted for 10 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Teo Petani (190-88) came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Marino Sarlija (207-89) added 10 points respectively for Borik Puntamika in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zadar have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place in Group A with 4-2 record having just -1 point less than leader Kvarner 2010. Borik Puntamika lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Zadar will play against league's leader Cedevita in Zagreb in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Borik Puntamika will play at home against Zabok (#8) in Zabok and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
