Leitershofen advanced into Final. They swept the semifinal series versus Giessen. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Giessen Pointers won third quarter 22-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Giessen Pointers were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Michael Mathey (188-87, college: W.Liberty St.) notched 29 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Jonathan Genck (185-86) supported him with 17 points. Leitershofen's coach Stefan Goschenhofer allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds by forward Felix Rotaru (200-79) did not help to save the game for Giessen Pointers. Swingman Zeljko Pavlovic (194-80) added 18 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Four Giessen Pointers players scored in double figures.
