The game with biggest result difference took place in Athens. Local Panathinaikos (13-8) outscored 9th ranked PAOK (9-12) 76-51. The game was mostly controlled by Panathinaikos. PAOK was better in second period 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Panathinaikos dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to PAOK's 26. They outrebounded PAOK 36-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Forward Maria Zikiridou (187-83) nailed 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Romanian forward Gabriela Marginean (185-87, college: Drexel) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds. Panathinaikos' coach Giannis Gereoudakis felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Efi Kazantzidou (177-84) came up with 17 points and American guard Porchia Green (175-87, college: Ball St.) added 7 points and 11 rebounds respectively for PAOK in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Panathinaikos. They moved-up to third place, which they share with FEA Neas. Newly promoted PAOK keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Panathinaikos' next round opponent will be Esperides (#8) in Glyfada which should be theoretically another easy game. PAOK's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Thessaloniki Aris.
