Sixth ranked Benetton Treviso (13-12) beat at home 10th ranked Dinamo Sassari (11-14) by 12 points 90-78, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Benetton Treviso. Dinamo Sassari was better in third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lithuanian center Donatas Motiejunas (213-90, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and American swingman Devin Smith (196-81, college: Virginia) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Benetton Treviso's coach Jasmin Repesa used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Dinamo Sassari keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. Benetton Treviso will face league's leader Montepaschi Siena on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dinamo Sassari will play against Lottomatica Roma (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
