There was no surprise when 15th ranked Assignia Manresa (9-20) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Caja Laboral (19-10) 89-83 on Sunday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-13. But Assignia Manresa won third quarter 29-26. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Caja Laboral looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Assignia Manresa was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Brazilian-Italian guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-83, agency: Edge Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 assists. International swingman Fernando San Emeterio (198-84) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Five Caja Laboral players scored in double figures.
