Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked CS Bologna (12-13) was defeated on the road by third ranked Armani Milano (18-6) 71-64 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-18. But CS Bologna won second period 16-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard David Hawkins (194-82, college: Temple) stepped up and scored 23 points and 4 steals for the winners and American-Bulgarian guard Ibrahim Jaaber (187-84, college: Pennsylvania, agency: 540 Sports) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side American-Bulgarian center Jared Homan (206-83, college: Iowa St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Kennedy Winston (198-84, college: Alabama, agency: Priority Sports) scored 14 points. Four CS Bologna players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Armani Milano. They maintain third place with 18-6 record having just two points less than leader Montepaschi. CS Bologna lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with 13 games lost. Armani Milano will face league's leader Montepaschi Siena at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. CS Bologna will play against Vanoli-Braga (#12) in Cremona.
