The game in Esch was also quite interesting. 4th placed Amicale (14-11) played at the court of fifth ranked Basket Esch (14-11). Basket Esch defeated Amicale 80-68 on Sunday. The game without a history. Basket Esch led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for American forward John Reimold (198-81, college: Bowling Green) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. International guard Christophe Donnersbach (192-84) helped adding 23 points and 4 assists. Four Basket Esch players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Louis Birdsong (198-88, college: George Mason, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Christian Schartz (180-86) scored 20 points. Newly promoted Basket Esch maintains fifth place in League with 14-11 record. Basket Esch will face Residence (#6) in Bereldange in the next round. Amicale will play on the road against the league's second-placed Etzella in Ettelbruck and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
