The most interesting game of round 19 in the CIBACOPA was a home defeat of their biggest opponent Rayos de Hermosillo (15-4) to first ranked Mineros de Cananea (16-3) 89-78 in the game for the first place. It ended the six-game winning streak of Rayos de Hermosillo. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mineros de Cananea made 8 blocks. Four Rayos de Hermosillo players scored in double figures. Mineros de Cananea have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-3 record. Rayos de Hermosillo at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. Mineros de Cananea will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rayos de Hermosillo will play again at home against the league's leader Mineros de Cananea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
