Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Girona FC (20-14) beat on the road 11th ranked Melilla Baloncesto (14-20) 82-71 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Girona FC. Melilla Baloncesto was better in fourth quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Point guard Ignacio Ordin (183-78) scored 17 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Brazilian center Thiago Labbate (208-83) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Girona FC players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international forward Oscar Yebra (200-74, agency: Interperformances) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Zach Moss (201-81, college: Mountain St.) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Girona FC have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 20-14 record, which they share with Leon. Melilla Baloncesto lost eighth consecutive game. Loser Melilla Baloncesto keeps the eleventh place with 20 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
