There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Tuscany Pistoia (13-15) rolled over at home 8th ranked Aget Imola (13-15) 96-72 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 96-72. Tuscany Pistoia made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Quite impressive performance for American guard Joseph Forte (193-81, college: N.Carolina, agency: JEMsports) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 assists. The other American import forward Jarvis Varnado (206-88, college: Mississippi St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 6 blocks for the winners. Four Tuscany Pistoia players scored in double figures. Coach Paolo Moretti's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Trent Whiting (185-76, college: BYU) replied with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international forward Davide Bruttini (203-87) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Aget Imola. Tuscany Pistoia moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated Aget Imola. Tuscany Pistoia will face higher ranked Prima Veroli (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
