The game between second ranked Mineros de Cananea (17-4) and 7th ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (10-11) in Cananea on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Mineros de Cananea outscored guests from Tijuana 104-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tijuana Zonkeys. Mineros de Cananea dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Tijuana Zonkeys' 38. American forward Derek Thomas (193-84, college: Appalachian St.) nailed 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Davin White (186-81, college: Cal.St. Northridge) accounted for 22 points and 5 assists. Mineros de Cananea's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games.
