Regular Season Round 23: KAOD - Periko/Arhelaos 75-68

A2 top team - KAOD (21-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eleventh ranked Periko/Arhelaos (10-13) in Dramas 75-68. Periko/Arhelaos was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 25-13 charge of KAOD, which allowed them to win the game. They made 29-of-36 charity shots (80.6 percent) during the game, while Periko/Arhelaos only scored seven points from the stripe. Periko/Arhelaos was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for power forward Vageli Margaritis (202-82) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Newly promoted Periko/Arhelaos dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. KAOD will play against Apollon Patras (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Periko/Arhelaos will play against the league's second-placed AGOR in Rethymno and hopes to get back on the winning track.
