The most exciting game of round 30 in the D1 took place in Aalst. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-best Okapi Aalstar (18-9) to fourth ranked Base Oostende (16-11) 76-73 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 39-35 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Matt Lojeski (198-85, college: Hawaii) who scored 21 points. The other American import forward Will Thomas (200-86, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Base Oostende players scored in double figures. Base Oostende's coach Jean-Marc Jaumin used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game.
