Quarter-Finals Round 1: Zalgiris - Neptunas 96-61

Zalgiris continued their undefeated run in the LKL season as they cruised past Neptunas in the opener. The game without a history. Zalgiris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Neptunas' 30. They outrebounded Neptunas 46-29 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Neptunas was plagued by 34 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Tadas Klimavicius (204-82, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. The former international forward Paulius Jankunas (205-84, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Zalgiris players scored in double figures. Zalgiris' coach Ilias Zouros felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international forward Valdas Vasylius (203-83, college: ODU) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and American center Luke Bonner (213-85, college: Massachusetts) added 4 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Neptunas.
