An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Zadar. Third ranked Zadar faced 4th placed KK Split. Host Zadar (5-3) smashed guests from Split (3-4) 86-63. The game was mostly controlled by Zadar. KK Split was better in second period 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They shot 60.3 percent from the field. 24 personal fouls committed by KK Split helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Marko Car (188-85) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 8 assists. Center Ive Ivanov (201-85) accounted for 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Five Zadar players scored in double figures. Forward Ante Grgurevic (199-75, agency: Interperformances) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and forward Roko Ciklic (196-83) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for KK Split in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zadar maintains third place in Group A with 5-3 record behind leader Cedevita. KK Split at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Zadar's next round opponent will be league's second-placed KK Zagreb CO at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. KK Split will play against Zabok in Zabok.
