An interesting game took place in Rodou where higher ranked VAP Kolossos (12-14) was upset on its own court by twelfth ranked Ilysiakos (9-17) 58-49. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. American power forward Mark Dawson (206-83, college: Long Beach St., agency: Tank Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import guard Jeremiah Davis (183-81, college: Pacific, agency: Strategic Sports) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Naturalized American swingman Pat Kalathis (208-85, college: St.Joseph's) replied with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Kostas Charissis (211-79, college: USC, agency: Impact Basketball) added 6 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for VAP Kolossos. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Ilysiakos have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Panellinios. VAP Kolossos at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
