The game in Ashdod supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Bnei Hasharon (16-11) played at the court of 6th ranked Maccabi Ashdod (13-14). Bnei Hasharon smashed Maccabi Ashdod 92-71. The game was mostly controlled by Bnei Hasharon. Maccabi Ashdod was better in fourth quarter 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bnei Hasharon made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Ronald Steele (187-86, college: Alabama, agency: SportsTalent) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 8 assists. Puerto Rican point guard Filiberto Rivera (190-82, college: UTEP) accounted for 17 points and 5 assists for the winning side. American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and guard Niv Berkowitz (190-86, college: Marquette, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) added 17 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) respectively for Maccabi Ashdod in the defeat. Five Bnei Hasharon and four Maccabi Ashdod players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bnei Hasharon moved-up to third place, which they share with Hapoel J-M. Newly promoted Maccabi Ashdod dropped to the fifth position with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
