We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 4th placed Base Oostende (17-12) lost on the road to fifth ranked Antwerp Giants (15-13) 63-57 on Friday. Base Oostende trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 19-9 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 57-63 at the end of the game. Antwerp Giants forced 20 Base Oostende turnovers. Quite impressive performance for the former international guard Roel Moors (190-78, agency: Agency No 10) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 4 assists. American forward Darnell Wilson (198-85, college: Canisius, agency: Court Side) contributed with 11 points for the winners. American guard Matt Lojeski (198-85, college: Hawaii) answered with 14 points and the other American import forward Will Thomas (200-86, agency: Interperformances) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Base Oostende. Base Oostende's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Antwerp Giants maintains fifth place with 15-13 record. Loser Base Oostende keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. Antwerp Giants will face again higher ranked Base Oostende (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
