Quarter-Finals Round 2: Budivelnyk - Dnipro 83-78

Budivelnyk survived a tough challenge on Saturday to level the series versus Dnipro. It looked good early as Dnipro took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Budivelnyk had a 21-16 second period charge getting the lead and Dnipro was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 78-83. Forward Denis Ikovlev (201-86, college: Nevada) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. The former international guard Dmytro Zabirchenko (192-84) contributed with 10 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. Budivelnyk's coach Josep Berrocal allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Canadian forward Denham Brown (198-83, college: Connecticut, agency: Edge Sports) replied with 22 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Steve Burtt (185-84, college: Iona) added 16 points and 7 assists in the effort for Dnipro.
