Regular Season Round 51: Osaka Evessa - Fukuoka Rizing 84-87

Important game to mention about took place in Osaka. Third ranked Fukuoka Rizing (30-19) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging second-best Osaka Evessa (31-18) 87-84 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Osaka Evessa. Osaka Evessa was ahead by 8 points at the halftime before a 45-34 second half run of Fukuoka Rizing. They made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Michael Parker (200-81, college: Evergreen St.) who led the winners and scored 32 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Nile Murry (193-83, college: TCU) accounted for 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Swingman William Knight (196-79, college: UCLA) came up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds and forward Lynn Washington (200-78, college: Indiana) added 20 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Osaka Evessa in the defeat. Osaka Evessa's coach Ryan Blackwell rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fukuoka Rizing maintains third place with 30-19 record having just three points less than leader Hamamatsu P. Osaka Evessa at the other side keeps the second position with 18 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Osaka Evessa will play again at home against Fukuoka Rizing and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
