Zalgiris cruised past Juventus in Kaunas. The game without a history. Zalgiris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Juventus' 28. Zalgiris forced 20 Juventus turnovers and outrebounded them 42-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. Juventus was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Paulius Jankunas (205-84, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds. International forward Tadas Klimavicius (204-82, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Gediminas Maceina (188-84) answered with 8 points and 7 rebounds and forward Arunas Vasiliauskas (201-85) added 11 points in the effort for Juventus. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
