Second Stage Round 9: KK Split - Alkar Sinj 55-72

Alkar Sinj's road win over 4th placed KK Split 72-55 was very exciting. The game without a history. Alkar Sinj led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. KK Split was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Ante Delas (201-88) stepped up and scored 15 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners and forward Ivica Radic (207-90) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Srdan Subotic (193-80) with 17 points and forward Toni Dijan (205-83) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. KK Split's coach Mladen Vuskovic tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Alkar Sinj (3-6) moved-up to sixth place in Group A, which they share with Borik. Loser KK Split dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Alkar Sinj will face league's second-placed KK Zagreb CO at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KK Split will play against Borik Puntamika in Zadar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
