Very predictable result when second ranked KK Zagreb CO (7-2) smashed at home bottom-ranked Zabok (0-8) 100-60 on Wednesday. The game without a history. KK Zagreb CO led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Zabok's 28. They outrebounded Zabok 31-18 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Alex Renfroe (190-86, college: Belmont) stepped up and scored 21 points and 6 assists for the winners and the former international power forward Luka Zoric (211-84) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five KK Zagreb CO players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Sasa Jankovic (204-84) with 23 points and 7 rebounds and guard Luka Pesut (193-91) scored 8 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KK Zagreb CO maintains second place in Group A with 7-2 record behind leader Cedevita. Loser Zabok still closes the standings with eight games lost. KK Zagreb CO will face Alkar Sinj (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Zabok will play against Zadar and hopes to get finally their first victory.
