Regular Season Round 33: Orchy - Blois 96-77

There was an upset in Orchies where higher ranked Blois (16-16) was outplayed by thirteenth ranked Orchesien BC (15-17) 96-77 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Orchesien BC. Blois was better in second period 25-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Orchesien BC dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Blois' 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Blois' players. The best player for the winners was swingman David Cilly (196-81) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. American power forward Gabriel Kennedy (205-81, college: UAB, agency: R.H.Consultancy) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Orchesien BC's coach Philippe Namyst allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Johan Blot (198-75) who recorded 29 points and guard Zaka Alao (187-81) added 23 points respectively. Orchesien BC moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Lievin. Blois lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 16 games lost. Orchesien BC will face higher ranked Etendard de Brest (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
