The game between Top Four teams took place in Steinsel. 4th placed host Amicale (15-12) lost to first ranked T71 (22-5) 81-72. The former international power forward Frank Muller (194-88, college: Cuesta JC) nailed 25 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and international guard Tom Schumacher (190-87, college: Cal.Baptist) accounted for 20 points and 9 rebounds. T71's coach Jan Enjebo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international guard Eric Jeitz (191-86) came up with 23 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and American forward Louis Birdsong (198-88, college: George Mason, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for Amicale in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. T71 have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 22-5 record. Amicale at the other side keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Basket Esch. T71 will play against league's second-placed Etzella in Ettelbruck in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Amicale will play on the road against Residence in Bereldange and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
