Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Zagreb: Cedevita (#1) and Cibona (#4). Cedevita (9-1) won against visiting Cibona (5-5) 97-93. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cibona. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Cedevita made 26-of-33 charity shots (78.8 percent) during the game. Cibona was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international forward Damjan Rudez (206-86) notched 24 points to lead the effort and American guard Dontaye Draper (180-84, college: Charleston) supported him with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Five Cedevita players scored in double figures. Cedevita's coach Aleksandar Petrovic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 35 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds by international swingman Bojan Bogdanovic (202-89) did not help to save the game for Cibona. Center Leon Radosevic (208-90) added 20 points for lost side. Cedevita have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 9-1 record. Defending champion Cibona keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Cedevita will play against KK Split (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Cibona will play against Zabok in Zabok and hopes to get back on the winning track.
