There was an upset when 4th placed Snaidero Udine (17-12) was rolled over on the road by eleventh ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (12-17) 83-64 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-64. Naturhouse Ferrara made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Finnish power forward Tuukka Kotti (205-81, college: Providence) stepped up and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Ghanian guard David Cournooh (190-90) chipped in 16 points. Four Naturhouse Ferrara players scored in double figures. Naturhouse Ferrara's coach Alberto Martelossi used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Finnish-American forward Gerald Lee (208-87, college: ODU) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized American guard Donte Mathis (190-77, college: Texas St.) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Naturhouse Ferrara maintains eleventh place with 12-17 record. Snaidero Udine lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. Naturhouse Ferrara will face Assigeco BPL (#13) in Lodi in the next round.
