Regular Season Round 33: Challans - CFBB 81-62

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Vendee Challans (16-15) smashed at home bottom-ranked CFBB (5-27) 81-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Vendee Challans led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 28. Vendee Challans forced 29 CFBB turnovers. Strangely CFBB outrebounded Vendee Challans 42-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Fabien Herard (198-79) who scored 25 points. Forward Benjamin Boutry (198-80) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Jean-Charles Livio (202-93) who recorded 12 points and 8 rebounds and center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (204-94) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively. CFBB's coach Jacques Commeres rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vendee Challans moved-up to ninth place. Loser CFBB stay dead last with 27 lost games. Vendee Challans will face Saint Chamond (#15) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. CFBB will play against Angers BC 49.
