Regular Season Round 33: Sorgues - GET Vosges 99-59

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Get Vosges (9-23) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Sorgues (19-13) 99-59 on Saturday. The game without a history. Sorgues led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sorgues outrebounded Get Vosges 36-21 including a 22-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Sorgues especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was center Xavier Pasut (200-84) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Serbian forward Slobodan Ocokoljic (204-80, college: Weber St.) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Five Sorgues players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Zacharie Gourde (205-80, college: Gonzaga) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Mali forward Tahirou Sani (204-85) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Get Vosges' coach Laurent Mathis gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Sorgues moved-up to fourth place, which they share with St Quentin and Brest. Get Vosges lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 23 games lost. Sorgues will face league's second-placed Denain Voltaire on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Get Vosges will play against Lievin Basket (#11).
