The game without a history. Craiova led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Craiova forced 19 Brasov turnovers and outrebounded them 41-20 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American center Kenneth Simms (203, college: Cumberland) scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Casey Wohlleb (201-86, college: Florida Gulf Coast) chipped in 18 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Wohlleb is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Craiova players scored in double figures. Montenegrin center Zeljko Bubanja (210-73) responded with 27 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and swingman Radu Paliciuc (198-88) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
