Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Pepsi Caserta (12-16) was defeated at home by third ranked Armani Milano (20-8) 85-74 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Armani Milano forced 25 Pepsi Caserta turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard David Hawkins (194-82, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds and international forward Stefano Mancinelli (203-83) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Armani Milano's coach Dan Peterson used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American center Eric Williams (206-84, college: Wake Forest, agency: Priority Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Martin Colussi (193-81) scored 17 points. Armani Milano maintains third position with 20-8 record having five points less than leader Montepaschi. Pepsi Caserta lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 16 games lost. Armani Milano will face Vanoli-Braga (#12) in Cremona in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pepsi Caserta will play on the road against Banca Tercas in Teramo.
