The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Mineros de Cananea (22-6) on the court of sixth ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by Ostioneros de Guaymas 83-80. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Mineros de Cananea. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 42-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Ostioneros de Guaymas is looking forward to face higher ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mineros de Cananea will play against the league's second-placed Caballeros de Culiacan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
