ACB top team - Regal FC Barcelona (27-6) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixteenth ranked Meridiano Alicante (9-24) 84-76. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Meridiano Alicante won third quarter 27-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Regal FC Barcelona made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. International guard Juan Carlos Navarro (192-80) stepped up and scored 25 points for the winners and American forward Terence Morris (207-79, college: Maryland) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian power forward Martynas Andriuskevicius (218-86, agency: Interperformances) with 15 points and 7 rebounds and French guard Thomas Heurtel (188-89) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Four Meridiano Alicante players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Regal FC Barcelona. They maintain first place with 27-6 record. Meridiano Alicante at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with 24 games lost. Regal FC Barcelona will play against Unicaja Malaga (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Meridiano Alicante will play against CAI Zaragoza (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
