Semi-Finals Game 1: BC Donetsk - Hoverla 81-74

BC Donetsk celebrated the first win over Hoverla. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-15. But Hoverla won second period 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Donetsk made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. BC Donetsk outrebounded Hoverla 37-21 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Hoverla helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Serbian swingman Branko Cvetkovic (200-84, agency: Beo Basket) fired 17 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners. American power forward J.K. Edwards (202-82, college: UNLV) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). BC Donetsk's coach Sasa Obradovic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Dante Swanson (178-81, college: Tulsa, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) produced 20 points and 4 assists and the other American import guard Derrick Zimmerman (189-81, college: Mississippi St., agency: Pro One Sports) added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side.
