The most exciting game of round 33 in the ACB took place in Las Palmas. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Power Electronics Valencia (23-10) to sixth ranked Gran Canaria 2014 (20-13) 68-66 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Power Electronics Valencia. Power Electronics Valencia was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 18-13 charge of Gran Canaria 2014, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for American-Azerbaijan forward Spencer Nelson (203-80, college: Utah St.) who led his team to a victory with 5 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Xavier Rey (209-87, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. International power forward Victor Claver (207-88) answered with 9 points and 9 rebounds and French guard Nando De Colo (202-87) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Power Electronics Valencia. Four Power Electronics Valencia players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Gran Canaria 2014 have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Bizkaia Bilbao. Power Electronics Valencia at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. Gran Canaria 2014 is looking forward to face CB Granada (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Power Electronics Valencia will play against Assignia Manresa (#15) and is hoping to win this game.
