Very predictable result when eighth ranked Unicaja Malaga (18-15) rolled over at home 17th ranked CB Granada (7-26) 78-53 on Thursday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Unicaja Malaga's pressure prevailed and they won that period 28-10 extending their advantage to 25 points. It was a good game for American guard Gerald Fitch (191-82, college: Kentucky, agency: SportsTalent) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 5 assists. The former international forward Carlos Jimenez (205-76) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Icelandic guard Jon Stefansson (196-82) answered with 17 points and the former international center Jesus Fernandez (204-75) added 7 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for CB Granada. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Unicaja Malaga maintains eighth place with 18-15 record, which they share with Valladolid. CB Granada lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventeenth position with 26 games lost. Unicaja Malaga will face league's leader Regal FC Barcelona on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
