The game was mostly controlled by Tundja. Balkan managed to win fourth quarter 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tundja dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Balkan's 22 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Balkan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international guard Julian Radionov (188-79) scored 19 points and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Nikolay Varbanov (209-85, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Tundja players scored in double figures. American forward Dwayne Morton (200-71, college: Louisville) responded with 9 points and 8 rebounds and the former international power forward Georgi Davidov (205-76) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
