There was a minor upset in Lodi where 11th ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (12-18) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Assigeco BPL (12-18) 85-72 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Assigeco BPL. Naturhouse Ferrara was better in third quarter 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Naturhouse Ferrara 37-18 including a 24-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Assigeco BPL looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Naturhouse Ferrara's players. The best player for the winners was power forward Diego Banti (204-83, agency: Interperformances) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Assigeco BPL players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Albanian swingman Klaudio Ndoja (198-85) who recorded 20 points and American guard Jermaine Boyette (188-78, college: Weber St., agency: SportsTalent) added 14 points respectively. Assigeco BPL moved-up to eleventh place.
