Second Stage Round 12: Alkar Sinj - Zabok 79-55

Bottom-ranked Zabok (0-11) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 79-55 loss to seventh ranked Alkar Sinj (4-8) in Sinj on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Alkar Sinj led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Alkar Sinj forced 23 Zabok turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ivica Radic (207-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Ante Delas (201-88) who added 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Jure Lozancic (211-83, college: Jacksonville) with 10 points and 7 rebounds and guard Sven Smajlagic (193-90) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alkar Sinj moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Borik. Loser Zabok still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Alkar Sinj will meet at home higher ranked Cibona (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Zabok will play against Borik Puntamika (#6) in Zadar and hopes to get finally their first victory.
