Second Stage Round 12: Cedevita - KK Zagreb 73-71

The most exciting game of round 12 in the A1 took place in Zagreb. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-best KK Zagreb CO (9-3) to first ranked Cedevita (11-1) 73-71 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of KK Zagreb CO. KK Zagreb CO was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Bracey Wright (191-84, college: Indiana, agency: Priority Sports) who scored 18 points and 4 assists. The former international forward Damjan Rudez (206-86) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Cedevita's coach Aleksandar Petrovic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Luka Zoric (211-84) who recorded 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international swingman Krunoslav Simon (197-85) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Cedevita maintains first position with 11-1 record. KK Zagreb CO at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Zadar. Cedevita are looking forward to face league's second-placed Zadar on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KK Zagreb CO will play against KK Split and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
