Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Zadar: Zadar (#3) and Borik Puntamika (#6). Borik Puntamika was defeated at home 71-81 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Borik Puntamika was ahead by 8 points at the halftime before a 48-30 second half run of Zadar. Borik Puntamika was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for swingman Marko Car (188-85) who led his team to a victory with 32 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Ive Ivanov (201-85) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Zadar players scored in double figures. Power forward Jure Skific (202-88) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Jurica Ruzic (199-77) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Borik Puntamika. Borik Puntamika's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Zadar have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with KK Zagreb CO. Borik Puntamika at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Alkar Sinj. Zadar will play against league's leader Cedevita in Zagreb in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Borik Puntamika will play on the road against Zabok (#8) in Zabok and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
