No shocking result in a game when second ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (22-10) edged at home 4th ranked Frayles de Guasave (18-14) 94-92 on Wednesday. Frayles de Guasave was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 21-17 charge of Caballeros de Culiacan, which allowed them to win the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Caballeros de Culiacan made 9 blocks. American guard Rene Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Quentin Gonzalez (200-84, college: McNeese St.) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners.
