Zabok can celebrate finally their first win this season after 11 consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Borik Puntamika (4-9) 76-56 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Zabok led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Zabok outrebounded Borik Puntamika 37-26 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Toni Brnas (201-91) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and forward Ivan Perincic (208-77, agency: Agency No 10) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side power forward Jure Skific (202-88) responded with 10 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Marino Sarlija (207-89) scored 14 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). Borik Puntamika's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Zabok maintains eighth place with 1-11 record. It was Borik Puntamika's third loss in a row. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Alkar Sinj. Zabok will meet league's leader Cedevita in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Borik Puntamika will play against Alkar Sinj (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
