Everything went according to plan in Madrid where sixth ranked Bizkaia Bilbao (21-13) beat 10th ranked Asefa Estudiantes (16-18) 78-68 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-68. The former international forward Alex Mumbru (202-79) fired 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Latvian guard Janis Blums (190-82) chipped in 17 points. Five Bizkaia Bilbao players scored in double figures.
