Karsiyaka was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 24-15 charge of Efes Pilsen, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Croatian center Nikola Vujcic (211-78) who scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Kerem Tunceri (190-79) chipped in 14 points. Five Efes Pilsen players scored in double figures. Efes Pilsen's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard David Holston (170-86, college: Chicago St.) who recorded 29 points and 5 assists and Serbian center Jovo Stanojevic (208-77, agency: Beo Basket) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively.
