The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Amyntas Dafnis' (14-14) home victory over 10th ranked Olimpiada (12-16) 76-66 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Amyntas Dafnis. Olimpiada was better in fourth quarter 20-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Amyntas Dafnis dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpiada's 34. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Panag Koukounias (199-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and guard Babis Samothrakis (189-83) who added 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Amyntas Dafnis' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Nikos Makris (188-79) responded with 28 points and 7 steals and center Apostolos Koutroulias (206-76) scored 9 points and 12 rebounds. Amyntas Dafnis moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Panelefsiniakos. Loser Olimpiada keeps the tenth position with 16 games lost. Amyntas Dafnis will face higher ranked Lavrio (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Olimpiada will play against Periko/Arhelaos (#12) in Perikos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
