Regular Season Round 28: AGOR - Arkadikos 86-71

Not a big story in a game in Rethymno where 5th ranked Arkadikos (15-13) was defeated by second ranked AGOR (19-9) 86-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by AGOR. Arkadikos was better in fourth quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AGOR forced 24 Arkadikos turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian center Damir Latovic (204-80) who helped to win the game recording 24 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and guard Giannis Kiriakopoulos (185-83) who added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. AGOR's coach Stergios Koufos used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Miron Papadakis (183-88) responded with 12 points, 5 assists and 6 steals and guard Thodoris Tsiotras (198-87) scored 8 points and 4 assists. Four Arkadikos players scored in double figures. AGOR maintains second position with 19-9 record having six points less than leader KAOD. Loser Arkadikos keeps the fifth place with 13 games lost. AGOR will face Panerythraikos (#15) in New Eritrea in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Arkadikos will play on the road against Ermis Lagkada (#11) in Lagadas.
